This is an intimate, purposeful gathering in Utrecht bringing together the Africa Safari community: programme alumni, partners, educators, social entrepreneurs, diaspora professionals, volunteers, and friends of the mission. A day to reconnect, share what's working, build new collaborations, and look ahead together.
What Happens on the Day
- Welcome & community updates — hear directly from Daniel Okiror and the Africa Safari team on mission progress, upcoming programmes, and the road ahead
- Storytelling circle — alumni and community members share their journeys, impact stories, and what Africa Safari has meant to them
- Thematic working sessions — small group conversations on education, youth empowerment, earned income, and diaspora connection
- Live music & cultural moment — a short performance to ground the gathering in the spirit of Ubuntu
- Open networking — unstructured time to connect, collaborate, and build
- Closing circle — intentions, commitments, and next steps as a community
