Drawing on African philosophical traditions, storytelling, and lived cross-cultural experience, this workshop develops the practical skills and inner dispositions that allow you to work effectively — and authentically — across cultural boundaries. Whether your organisation is becoming more diverse, working with African diaspora communities, or building international partnerships, this is the training that goes beyond the checklist.

What You Will Develop

• Cultural self-awareness — understanding your own cultural lens and how it shapes your assumptions, communication, and decisions
• African cultural frameworks — exploring Ubuntu, communal identity, time, hospitality, and authority through an African lens and what these mean in practice
• Cross-cultural communication skills — listening, adapting, and building trust across difference
• Navigating complexity — tools for working in multicultural teams and communities without defaulting to stereotypes or surface-level tolerance
• Inclusive practice — applying cultural intelligence to recruitment, service delivery, programme design, and community engagement
• Storytelling as a bridge — using African storytelling traditions to open dialogue and build understanding across teams
