Join Africa Safari Academy for a practical weekly introduction to African music and culture. Learn through rhythm, traditional instruments, songs, stories and shared participation.
Led by Daniel Okiror — musician, storyteller, and cultural practitioner with over 20 years of experience across Uganda, Kenya and the Netherlands.

Come as you are. No previous musical experience is necessary.
What You Will Experience
- East African rhythms and communal drumming
- Hands-on time with traditional instruments including the Akogo (thumb piano) and Adungu (bow harp)
- African songs, call-and-response traditions and storytelling through music
- The Ubuntu philosophy of music — how rhythm creates belonging
- Cultural context and the living stories behind the music
